MassDevelopment issued a request for proposals (RFP) for the use and development of New Bedford State Pier.

RFP Issued

MassDevelopment received seven (7) proposals by the deadline.

RFP Deadline for Submissions

MassDevelopment hosted a public meeting for each of the seven respondents to present their proposals.

A committee reviewed the proposals and interviewed the applicants for a more comprehensive understanding of the proposed uses and developments.

Review Committee

MassDevelopment has engaged Utile, Inc. to create a redevelopment framework that maximizes the use of the pier, creates local and regional benefits, and supports maritime industries.

Utile Engaged for Redevelopment Framework

A public meeting for MassDevelopment and Utile to present their initial spatial analysis of the proposals and conceptual plans for future uses on the pier.
